This is a great split pairing. Props to Sacred Phrases. I’ve already talked about how much I love Aloonaluna in the past week or so, but “Hunt For Vapor” finds Lynn Fister in rare form. This might be her finest piece of music yet, especially the minimalist breakdown toward the middle where her voice truly etches out mesmerizing shapes in stained glass.
Ant’lrd (aka Colin Blanton) complements this poetically with layers of crystal-toned synths rising and falling in unison. The way Blanton smooths out these sharp, aural edges by the end of the piece adds a celestial air. This is Ant’lrd at its most gorgeous.
